So when a new user for the 1st time signs into mattermost right before they create their user account its asks for mattermost server address and mattermost url, this information would be good to be auto filled so that users just have to only create their user account and not remember server details.

Mattermost app crashing after android 8.1 update
Have you updated to Android 8.1? This is the reason. The system version is updated and the Mattermost App version is not updated in time, which leads to a disconnect between the system and the application. It is also inevitable that a problem arises, not what is wrong with your device itself. Uninstalling and reinstalling Mattermost will solve the problem of Apps crashing on Android. Don’t worry.

I suggest to check the other tables to make sure they are working ok and perform a database clean.
With new releases, changes are done to the tables that can affect its functionality. also old content are left behind for compatibility purposes that, later on, are not required anymore and can be removed.

We usually reserve general “cleanup” for major versions so that we can maintain backwards compatibility at the database level across minor versions. We’ll probably do some more cleanup in 6.0, whenever that is scheduled.

Akismet may be helping to prevent spam from making its way onto this forum, but as I’ve just discovered trying to post my first request for help here, and then 18hrs later on Bitnami’s forum, the Akismet message, “A staff member will review your post soon, and it should appear shortly.”, is clearly a ‘default message’ and does not accurately reflect this forums real-world operation and performance.
Might I suggest altering Akismet’s default message to more accurately reflect the forums real-world operation and performance. Perhaps, “Our staff might check the spam folder once in a while, but don’t hold your breath” or maybe “It’s unlikely your message will be reviewed, we don’t normally look in the spam folder, we recommend you seek help elsewhere” or well…
This isn’t a complaint, I am only asking that the forum moderators be forthright in their messaging, because forum users are left to wait and watch hours or days slip by without knowing if their post will ever be seen.

Unable to see a content of posts
When I receive notification from Mattermost on Andoid9, I can check there is a post and who post it but I cannot see a content of the post. So I cannot check what he/she says from notification. Like this:
Is there any solution to receive full notification?
My configuration
- Account Settings > Notification Settings > Mobile notifications: For all activity, when Online, away or offline
- System Console > Environment > Push Notification Server > Enable Push Notifications: Use TPNS connections to send notifications to iOS and Android apps
- Notification from Mattermost mobile app is allowed.
Environment
- Mattermost: version 5.12.1
- Server: Google Compute Engine/Ubuntu18.04LTS, MySQL 5.7.26, nginx 1.15.5
- Device: Huawei P20 lite Android9/EMUI9.1
People at the same Mattermost instance says there is no problem to receive full notification by iOS Mattermost app.

so i m using ubuntu 18.04 lts and i follow guide to install mattermost here :

and work prety cool, but at the end i m using http, so now i need to isntall the https acess.
So i have this architecture :
So i first install my serveur with mattermost in http acess (no secure)
So in second i install a second serveur with nginx reverse proxy.
so i put my nginx with ssl autosigned (but after i will added a lettsencrypt certificat)
i m using a config files to configure a reverse proxy to my mattermost.
So now i access to my mattermost using https with my nginx reverseproxy.
i got two server :
NginxReversProxy (https acess) <—> Mattermost http acess
So do u think i have to https on my mattermost acess ?
or the reverse proxy make the secure good ?

How to make unread answers more prominent
Hello here,
does anyone know of a way to make the newly received messages more prominent and pronounced?
The reason here is that my father has some issues in reading and quickly overreads new messages except for the very last one. I thought if it was ideally possible to put a e.g. reddish background to all new messages the same way as there is a tiny line with the text new message:
I am thinking if such a background as above with the last message could be added to all new messages.
Does anyone have an idea, if this is achievable using e.g. custom styling or if this would be a new feature?

Android apps not working - Cannot connect to the server
Hello there.
So i got mattermost behind ngins reverse proxy
work perfectly in web navogator, but i want using it on android with mattemrost application 
but i have this error :
Cannot connnect to the server. PLease chack your server URL and internet connection
i see on mattemrost documentation added an info on my nginx conf but still not working.
so maybe is because i m using an auto signed certificat ?
can we say accept all certificat on the android apps
