On February 16th we're releasing a new version of Mattermost with localization support and Spanish Language translation. Huge thanks to Elias for this.
This takes out 1), 2) and 3). We don't yet have a process for localizing documentation, but if anyone has expertise in Sphinx, we'd highly appreciate your guidance (or a pull request).
Question: Any suggestions for tools to use for maintaining translations from monthly release to monthly release?
We're looking for a system that could offer an easy way for contributing translators and reviewers to
- Get updates on what strings have been either added or changed since the last release
- Be able to compare English and target language strings in a web UI
- Contribute translations and edits in the web UI, managed in a workflow managed by a project manager
- Have everything automated to flow into a GitHub PR
There's Mozilla Pontoon and Transifex, wondering what other options there might be and people's experience with them (as well as advice on how to run the process)?
If anyone would like to volunteer to help manage, would be highly appreciated.
