At Amazon, we are evaluating alternative chat application and MM is best suited for our org.
However, with the size and scale we work, there is a great amount of risk in terms of disclosing highly confidential information due to breach in security at various levels. (e.g. access to encrypted database, spoofing, etc.)
One of the requirements, info-sec is asking us to do is have a announcement banner displayed to users telling them importance of not to disclose highly confidential information while they chat and solve critical issues using MM.
I look at the various flavors of MM, and found that the announcement banner functionality is available with E10 version of MM.
However, we are still in evaluation phase and can not get commitment from finance to allocate budget for licensing fees.
On successful evaluation of the tool, I am sure there will be many more teams adapting to MM.
What are the options I have? Any possibility of enabling /announce command for community edition?
